Buffalo Camp’s suites are 10 exquisite tents that blend old-world charm with modern amenities. The tents are decorated with dark wood and leather, creating a nostalgic atmosphere. Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Town to Kapama Game Reserve

  • Morning: Guests can fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport from Cape Town. Transfers will be arranged from the airport to Kapama Private Game Reserve.
  • Afternoon: Arrive at the reserve in time to freshen up and enjoy a meal before embarking on an afternoon game drive with your ranger and tracker.
  • Evening: During the drive, stop for a sundowner and take the opportunity to stretch your legs while watching the sunset over the Drakensberg mountains. As night falls, nocturnal animals emerge, and you may spot various species during the return trip to the lodge. The skilled tracker will illuminate the landscape with a flashlight to highlight animal eyes. Arrival at the lodge is usually around 19:00, allowing time to refresh before dinner.

Day 2: Kapama Game Reserve

  • Morning: Rise between 5:00 and 5:30 for tea or coffee and rusks before setting off on a morning game drive. The wildlife is typically more active in the cooler morning temperatures, providing great photography opportunities.
  • Afternoon: After a substantial breakfast at the lodge, relax by the pool or enjoy the lodge’s amenities. Following a sumptuous high tea, go on an afternoon wildlife drive that may last into twilight, concluding with a delicious dinner and discussions about the day’s sightings.

Day 3: Kapama Game Reserve to Cape Town

  • Morning: The final day begins with an early morning wildlife drive, aiming for unforgettable sightings.
  • Afternoon: After the drive, enjoy breakfast at the lodge before being transferred to Eastgate Airport for your return flight to Cape Town.
