Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kapama Private Game Reserve (Approx. 454 km)

  • Morning: Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport or a pre-arranged location in Johannesburg or Pretoria for a scenic drive through the Highveld and Lowveld regions.
  • Afternoon: Arrive mid-day at Kapama River Lodge, enjoy a light lunch, and take time to relax.
  • Evening: Leave on a late-afternoon game drive in the reserve, followed by dinner at the lodge, either indoors or on the wooden deck.
  • Meals: Lunch, dinner.

Day 2: Kapama Private Game Reserve

  • Early Morning: Enjoy hot beverages and rusks before departing on a 3-hour sunrise game drive.
  • Late Morning/Afternoon: Return for a late breakfast, then relax by the pool or indulge in a spa session.
  • Evening: After High Tea, head out on a sunset game drive with a sundowner stop in the bush. Dinner follows at the lodge.
  • Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 3: Kapama Private Game Reserve to Johannesburg

  • Early Morning: Head out for a final sunrise game drive.
  • Mid-Morning: Return for a hearty breakfast before checking out and departing for Johannesburg.
